The trend of co-authorship in philosophy is sharply on the rise: According to data from PhilPapers, the proportion of co-authored articles in well-known philosophy journals reached 17% in 2021, with most of that growth occurring since the year 2000 [1]. Similarly, the total proportion of co-authored works in PhilPapers has risen, during the same period of time, to nearly 30% [1]. Aside from its growing popularity, co-authorship carries a host of advantages, from the visibility that comes from publishing with advisors or senior academics, to the prospect of publishing one's work in venues not typically open to philosophers (e.g., in the case of interdisciplinary collaborations). Given the recent rise in co-authorship, we invite you to join us for a pragmatic event where we will consider the reasons in favour of it and the opportunities (and challenges) that it presents. This event will take place online and consist of a presentation from Dr. Leo Townsend followed by a short break and panel discussion with Prof. Tarja Knuuttila, Dr. Sarah Fisher and Dr. Niels de Haan.
