DocWIP - “Ist Geld (anti-)politisch? Untersuchung anhand Arendts Handlungsbegriff im Spannungsfeld mit ihrem Konzept des „Gesellschaftlichen"?” by Eva Liedauer

22.03.23 (Wednesday)

We’re excited to announce the next DocWIP by Eva Liedauer titled 'Ist Geld (anti-)politisch? Untersuchung anhand Arendts Handlungsbegriff im Spannungsfeld mit ihrem Konzept des „Gesellschaftlichen"'. The talk will take place on Wednesday, March 22, 16:45 at 3A, NIG.

Abstract: My dissertation will take a closer look, firstly, on tensions between political action and the social in Arendt. In a second step,  I will re-read her critique of modernity (inherent in the concept of the "social") in the light of theories of money. What pops up is, on the one hand, critiques of money as anti-political. On the other hand, we find theories of money that understand it as political. How does this go together?

The talk is preparatory for the FÖP and will present the above project - that is: how the question arises. The talk will be in German.

As always, everyone is welcome to attend!
